Stage Designer
Born in Berlin in 1972, she studied stage design with Professor Erich Wonder and painting and graphic art with Professor Renée Green at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. In 1997 she won the first prize of the RING AWARD. She was assistant to Katrin Brack.
As stage and costume designer Katrin Lea Tag collaborated with Barrie Kosky (among others, Oper Hannover, Komische Oper Berlin, Oper Frankfurt, LA Opera, Edinburgh, Glyndebourne, DNO Amsterdam, RNO London, Opéra Dijon), Claus Guth (DNO Amsterdam, Opéra Garnier Paris), Christof Loy (Theater an der Wien), Holger Müller Brandes (among others, Oper Graz), and Nadja Loschky (Oper Graz), as stage designer with Hans Neuenfels (Staatsoper Berlin) and as costume designer with directors such as Dimiter Gotscheff (Volksbühne Berlin: among others, “Iwanow” and “Theatertreffen 2006”), Michael Thalheimer (Thalia Theater, Burgtheater, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Schaubühne, Théâtre de la Colline Paris, Dramaten Stockholm, Staatsoper Berlin, Schauspiel Frankfurt).
She lives in Vienna.
